ADL Insulflex is pleased to announce that Flexgard™ firesleeve has achieved MSHA acceptance for use in underground mines. The MSHA acceptance number for Flexgard™ is # IC-258/0.
Flexgard™ is a black nylon firesleeve, designed to provide abrasion protection for hydraulic hose assemblies. It can also protect operators from spray-out failures on high pressure hydraulic hose assemblies. Flexgard™ firesleeve is not recommended for electrical cables in underground mining application or for the repair of damaged hydraulic hoses.
